Change a role or seat type

Roles and seats are set on the person in Admin → Members. Both changes are Owner only.
Change a role
A person is an Admin or a Member on each team they belong to. An Admin of any team can open the Admin area for that team: edit the team, add new people to it, turn Automations on or off for its members and edit whose meetings they can see. Admins cannot change seats, roles, memberships or anything on the Settings tab; those stay with the Owner.
- Open Admin → Members and select the person.
- Change Role in team for the relevant team and confirm.
Changing a role does not change the person's seat or their meeting access grants.
Change a seat type
- Open Admin → Members and select the person.
- Change Seat and read the confirmation; it lists exactly what will be turned off.
- Confirm.
What a downgrade turns off

Nothing recorded so far is deleted.
What an upgrade does
Moving someone up to Standard or Notetaker changes the seat only. It does not reconnect what was disconnected, so ask the person to open Integrations and reconnect their email, calendar, Slack or notetaker, and turn Automations back on if they want CRM updates.
If you see "Seat changed, but integration cleanup could not be queued", repeat the same seat change; it is safe to retry.
Common issues
- The Seat or Role control is greyed out. You are a team admin, not the Owner. Hover the control to confirm.
- The person still cannot see Ask Ergo after an upgrade. Ask them to refresh; chat appears for Standard seats only.
- They lost meetings after a downgrade. They did not; a Spectator only sees meetings they attended or were granted. See Grant meeting or reporting access.
